Environmental Sustainability
At Schenk Packing we believe that is our responsibility to our community and our customers to be as environmentally sustainable as possible. We are constantly looking for new ways to reduce our environmental impact through energy reduction, water management, and product recycling.
Waste Water Management
All of the waste water we generate is treated on site and then sprayed onto our fields which fertilizes and waters the hay we produce which is then harvested and fed to the cattle held at our facility.
Sustainable Manure Management
The manure, paunch and cattle bedding that are produced from our cattle are transported to our sister company Lenz Enterprises and are made into topsoil, and organic fertilizer.
Energy Reduction
We are constantly looking for and implement new technology to reduce our energy consumption. We have recently installed new LED lighting at all our facilities which has greatly reduced our energy consumption.
